You might've heard that William Shatner and Carrie Fisher have been having a good-natured Internet fight lately about what's better -- Star Trek or Star Wars. But now a third party has entered the mix, cautioning the two that there is an even greater enemy out there: Twilight!

It was Roger Ebert who suggested that George Takei, the former Enterprise helmsman and current master of social media, work towards a peace agreement between Captain Kirk and Princess Leia. But the once and future Sulu didn't stop there. Watch:


Even amid the jokes, Takei actually makes some good points about the state of the genre. "In Twilight," he says, "the only message that rings through loud and clear is: 'Does my boyfriend like me?'" Captain Kirk most certainly never worried about that.
