So it's like a nighmare I had once, or something.....I wonder if the story will translate directly into english, or will they change the story a bunch so it appeals to westerners

I didn't see that coming!
I trust those who are stating this game is nonsense understand Japanese? I Don't, but there is a certain amount you can infer from the trailer. The sheep are fairly obvious, considering they are wearing ties, and Japan is a patriarchal and collectivist society. Considering he has horns, the dream seems rooted in a fear of conforming to societal norms and the loss of his individuality. When the protagonist is with his male friends, he seems more casual, but when dealing with sexuality, he seems awkward and anxious. The two Catherines contrast modesty and maturity with sex and fantasy; one exists in the real world and the other exists as the male sexual dream of blonde, playful, and forward. How this fits into a puzzle-platformer is beyond me, but the thematic genre for the game appears to be surrealistic arthouse horror, like Bergman's Hour of the Wolf.
Atlus has a decent reputation and I personally have enjoyed some of their title, but man is this out there. I really wonder at times how many drugs are passed around when these ideas are being thought of. Sheep? Really? Either way get me a demo first and we shall see. A good example of games as art, but that doesn't always mean it's a good game. Time will tell on this bizarre looking title.
You may not understand the themes/concepts of this game (*especially since very little has been revealed); but that doesn't mean it sucks. On a side note, if you've ever eaten mushrooms before...this game makes perfect sense: paranoia + peaking insanity.
i was less confused about this game before i watched the trailer...
what a load

of horse crap and people are going all ga ga over this lol attlus games suck demons soul was just cheap repetitive and boring this looks the same with some digital ass thrown in for all the virgins to get excited over
Looks great! Atlus has a good track-record and I trust they will deliver a great mature(not just boobs mature) storytelling experience, I am a little sad it is not an RPG like I had originally thought but a creep puzzler is pretty cool as well.
As much as I love the Fallout's and Final Fantasies,I also keep an eye out for these unique (Unique here meaning "pants crapping insane") games that break convention and offer something outside the norm.Certainly not a game for eveyone and after seeing this,my hopes of it coming stateside are somewhat deminished. Ihope i'm wrong though, because I really want to play this.
I have to say I am intrigued. It definitly won't be for everyone as it is very Japanese. If there is a demo I'll check it out. To those complaining about textures, consider the styling of the game, it is supposed to be anime like. This isn't Assassins Creed or Demon's Souls.
