Yesterday, IGN posted a news story revealing that Batman: Arkham City will feature side missions where the Dark Knight partners with Bane -- the massive baddie that broke the bat's back. They're tracking down shipments of "chemicals."
Now, a whole bunch of folks are wondering why a bad guy would team with Batman.

Titan vs. Venom
"I am disgusted by my weakness," Bane thinks to himself as he's pummeled. "I am but a rag doll. So powerless. So... human."
There's a turn of events I won't ruin that leads to Bane not getting killed, but the big man does admit defeat before that happens. The final panel has him basically declaring war on Titan.
"Titan is the most dangerous and destructive thing I've ever encountered..." he signs off with. "... besides the Batman."
We know Titan serum washed up in Gotham after the first game, we know Bane hates Titan serum, and we know Batman isn't a big fan of the drug either. It seems like it would be mutually beneficial in a walled city filled with maniacs to get the drug off the street before more people use it and things get out of control. Hence, the interesting team-up. I think.
What do you think? Is this why the Dark Knight is teaming with one of his greatest enemies? Sound off in the comments below.
