Portal 2 Review

By Will Tuttle | Xbox 360 Reviews | Apr 21, 2011 7:07 PM | Comment

In case you've been living under the gaming equivalent of a rock (an exploding barrel, perhaps?) for the last few years, here's the deal: Portal began life as student project called Narbacular Drop that was picked up by Valve and fine-tuned for release as part of The Orange Box in 2007. Worse, would it be a three-hour experience artificially dragged out to feel longer? Would the portal mechanic feel too gimmicky when stretched out over a longer game? I have to admit that I had my doubts about whether Valve could deliver a worthwhile, entertaining sequel to one of my favorite games of this generation. So, did they? In a word: No. Read More »
