The 2010 game of the year will be named tomorrow night at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, but let's be honest: who plans to tune in to see who wins? Rather, the VGAs are must-see-TV for gamers because of the big games set to be world premiered on the show.

Along with Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro making his first official announcement about his partnership to make games with THQ, gamers will get their first good look at Batman: Arkham City, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Resistance 3, and BioWare's new title.

To get you primed and up to speed, here are the teaser trailers for the videos we'll see in full at the VGAs:

The Spike TV Video Game Awards kick off at 8 p.m. EST on Saturday night.

BERJAYASharkey says: Let's take these in order. In the Batman teaser, it appears the Dark Knight will be taking on more than crooks in Arkham City. More than once in the comics, Batman has been labeled a vigilante and hunted by the cops. Could be the case here, or perhaps Arkham City will have its own security force that doesn't want Batman interfering. In the Uncharted 3 teaser, we see an image of Lawrence of Arabia, hinting at the connection the legendary soldier will have to the game. Resistance 3's live action teaser isn't necessarily what we'll see at the VGAs, but that's what Insomniac Games is using as a teaser for its world premier. Regardless, the action in the game looks to be a gritty, Half-Life 2-like experience. Last but not least, BioWare's mystery game looks very Mass Effect. Whether it's the third chapter in the series or a whole new multiplayer spin-off (or perhaps a combination of the two) we'll find out all on Saturday night. Setting DVR... now.
