A sequel to 2009's Ghostbusters: The Video Game is in development.
Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is set for release in Spring 2011, but this time instead of being a full retail game, it will be released as a downloadable title on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Windows PC. Players will again take the role of the same rookie hired in the first game.
USA Today got the first look at the downloadable game. While not many details were revealed, we do know Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime includes four-player local or online gameplay, proton packs and gigantic bosses. Players will also finally be able to drive the Ecto-3, too.

There is one major downside, though. According to the report, none of the actors from the films, such as Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd, will appear in the game.
Development is being handled by Wanako Studios, a Chilean game studio who last developed Assault Heroes 2 for Xbox Live Arcade.
We hope to have more details on this soon.
