StarCraft II is not coming out in 2008. "Next year's offerings from Activision Blizzard should include highly anticipated PC strategy title StarCraft II, the sequel to one of the world's most enduringly popular games," Activision Blizzard confirmed to StarCraftWire.net. The announcement was made at the company's Activate Asia conference held in Auckland, New Zealand.
While Blizzard has never explicitly stated that StarCraft II would come out in 2008, many fans have speculated as such. Even retail outlets Best Buy, Circuit City, and GameStop reported a December 3 release date for the game back in June.
Contrary to speculation, Blizzard has always said that StarCraft 2 would release "when it's done."
