Getting GTA on the iPhone may be more real than you think! I was looking around on my iPhone today and came across a game that claims it's very similar to GTA. If you remember in a
previous post, we explained that GTA might be coming to the iPhone/PSP soon. With this game already on the iPhone, it's very possible.
So with that said I decided to go ahead and purchase the game to see if it was worth it, and also check the capabilities of a future GTA game coming to the iPhone.
The game delivers you the classic style of GTA gaming, with the top down view, so I wasn't expecting GTAIV quality. You start off by having to put in your name, then you watch an amazing intro video. The main menu is very similar to previous GTA games, where you get to choose profile, options, extras etc. They have even added different game modes, story, challenge, and rampage. I chose to start on story mode.
If your wondering how you play, well you hold the phone on it's side and you have two arrows, forward and backwards. When you hold the front button down, you simply just tilt the phone a little bit to turn in any direction. Once I entered a vehicle, you hear the character go "Get Out!" then you are in the vehicle.
You are able to do missions via a pay phone, and the game has 8 large maps. Without getting into a full blown review of the game, I was actually very surprised by this game. They have even added tutorials as your first missions to make sure you understand the game play before you really get going!
The soundtrack, the graphics, the voices were all amazing, I can now easily see Rockstar creating a game for the iPhone with ease. If you have an iPhone and like the classic style view of GTA, pick up the game!
