The pervasiveness of the theme song transcends the barriers of film, television, and even videogames. Theme music is important, not just for heroes and iconic figures. Married couples have "their song," professional baseball players have their "at bat" theme songs, and so on. Heck, these days folks give their friends signature ringtones on their cellphones, which is merely the next generation of theme music if you really think about it.
