I have fond memories of playing Battletoads on the NES and SNES as a kid. My friend
Jordman and I would spend many months
playing the game just trying to get further in it. I have never finished a Battletoads game
on it's original system, but I have finished them all of them on emulators. I have also played
Super Battletoads in the arcade a few times too. The Battletoads games are all very hard but a lot
of fun to play. The series is a classic in my opinion and the reason I created this site.

- Unfortunately I have not heard anything from Rare since I sent an e-mail regarding the New Battletoads Game petition.
The prospects for a new game do not seem good at this point, but with all the game re-releases occurring these days
on services such as XBox Live, I would not be surprised to see a Battletoads release sometime in the future.

Dear Editor,
I am the webmaster for The World of Battletoads (http://battletoads.classicgaming.gamespy.com), a fan site dedicated to the classic Rare game franchise, Battletoads. Although the original Battletoads game was released over 16 years ago, there remains a loyal fan base that continues to hold out hope that Rare will realize the great potential of this series and consider making a brand new game for one of today's next generation systems. With that in mind, I created a petition to demonstrate the support that exists for such a game. I encourage you, Rare, to have a look at the petition which now has over 1000 signatories. We hope that you, Rare, will take a serious look at creating a new Battletoads game. Alternatively, at the very least, it would be great to see a recreation of the original Battletoads for a system such as XBox Live Arcade or Game Boy Advance.
