May 6, 2003 - Last week the NFL held its annual draft. As always, there were some predictable picks, some surprises, and some blunders (how's it going Minnesota?). While a draft pick is never a sure thing (take a bow, Ryan Leaf), one thing is for certain -- all the players drafted in the first round will find themselves in EA's Madden NFL 2004.

Those who think this year's Madden will be merely a roster update, think again. While IGN can't yet divulge the cool additions to EA's King Kong franchise, readers can at least rest assured that part of Madden 2004 will indeed include a roster update.

On that end, the kind folks at EA have given us screenshots of nearly all the first-round draft picks in their new NFL unis in Madden 2004.

EA placed these players in their units last week and updated EA.com throughout draft day. Those who tuned into ESPN for the 2003 NFL Draft likely saw the two new Madden 2004 commercials and witnessed several demonstrations of Madden in action.
