Weekly Poll 18:21 PST | lufiaguy | Print News | Mail News Our New Year's Resolutions poll went on for much longer than intended, but it has finally been closed tonight - the results are here. To summarise them, the top two resolutions were to "Play The Sims more" and to "Eat more carefully". Both good choices! I would certainly eat more carefully if somebody helped me learn to cook - as a university student I'm only just scraping by!

A large amount of bugs and issues that the expansion pack introduced have been corrected (the full list of changes is shown to you before you can download the patch). Two versions of the patch are available: one for owners who installed Pets from a CD, and another for those who used the digital download. The correct version for you can be chosen from this page of the official site.
Letter From MaxoidSam 20:27 PST | lufiaguy | Print News | Mail News Senior producer of The Sims 2, MaxoidSam, has written a letter to fans about the upcoming expansion pack, The Sims 2 Seasons. In the letter, he reveals the excitement of the team creating the expansion, and shares plenty of little tidbits. Read his letter here.
In addition to adding in the seasons and all its details, we made sure to include lots of other little touches to really help complete the experience. For example, one thing that we're really proud of is the pool upgrades. Your swimming Sims will cast real-time shadows beneath the water surface on both pool walls and floors, we also added reflections of objects and Sims in the water, and customizable pool floor and wall designs.

The Sims Stories: Press Release 19:39 PST | lufiaguy | Print News | Mail News EA published a press release (read it here!) about a new line of games: The Sims Stories. Described as "laptop-friendly games", they will feature "engaging characters" and "easy-to-play storylines" intended to entertain both the novice and experienced player. The Sims Life Stories will be the first of the games, following the lives of Riley Harlow and Vincent Moore, two very different characters who have reached similar crossroads in their love lives. A comic romantic plot will guide players through twelve chapters. We'll keep you posted as more information comes in!
