Happy New Year 12:59 | Zou Welcome to 2007. I hope everybody made it out of 2006 okay. We now enter the final months before some of the most important entertainment releases: Harry Potter and Smash Bros. Brawl.

As many of you may have noticed, the comments feature is currently disabled. Some stuff on the server was cluttered up this month, and I think it was from the extensive spam in the comments. I really enjoyed the comments since it was a great way to get feedback from you guys (and most of the time, I listened). So expect that back soon.

The polls are in 01:42 | Bo Based on our most recent poll (1133 votes), fans believed that either Yoshi (15.1%) or Donkey Kong (15.1%) will be the next announced character for Brawl. I'd expect that in the end both characters will be playable in the sequel.
Late News 20:01 | Zou I guess Bo forgot to inform you all of the most important update in the world of Smash Bros.: updates to the Official Smash Bros. Site. Masahiro Sakurai sends his regards on the main page along with a bunch of new screen shots and a better version of the second trailer.
Furthermore, SSBB is rumored to come out in June. Larry, my neighbor, says it will be out in February. However, Larry is three years old and has no idea what SSB is. In my opinion, it won't be any later than Q2.

Wii Thanksgiving 20:49 | Zou The following story is from the president of the IUPUI Gamer's Guild about his expirience with the Wii. I thought it was heart warming and almost brought a tear to my eye.
More Child's Play 12:12 | Zou Penny-Arcade is also selling T-shirts for this charity. The proceeds from shirt sales go directly to Child's Play. So if you want a return from your charity (which kinda defeats the purpose ;) ), you can buy one of these.

Child's Play 16:33 | Zou Hey guys, did you know there's a little over a month until Christmas? Getting something awesome under your taunenbaum? Perhaps a Wii and a copy of Twilight Princess? Or an extra controller to replace the one you broke by tossing it after getting your butt handed to you in Smash Brothers.
Feels good, doesn't it?
Well how about spreading that Christmas cheer to those that will not be able to enjoy Christmas at home with their families. I'm talking about children in hospitals all over this country who for medical reasons must stay at the hospital while finding a way to put boredome at bay. You can help!
A few years ago, Penny-Arcade creators devised a new charity to help spread the Christmas cheer to the hospital-borne children. You may have heard of it; Child's Play. You can read the details at the website. Basically you can donate money or purchase a gift for the children. Pretty sweet.
Even if half our visitors donate $1.00, there would be enough money to buy the Wii, extra controllers, and almost all the launch titles for one hospital.

New Trailer Summary 13:53 | Zou What does this new trailer tell us?
Nothing significant that we do not already know. While no new noteworthy characters were presented in this trailer, one more character has been confirmed to have come back from SSBM: Fox. However, I would not give up hopes on some surprises as we approach the release date. We also see more of the new fighters� techniques. The fighting seemed to be very similar to SSBM�s, except there were no signs of the super attacks as seen on the first trailer. Call me crazy, but Zero Suit Samus�s attacks looked a lot like Sheik�s. Most interesting were Snake�s attacks, which consisted of some martial arts and an attack involving a rocket launcher. I am not completely sure if the stealth mode is part of his actual repertoire of skills.
The trailer also gave more time to each of the new stages created for this game. There is a greater level of dynamic interaction between the characters and the stage as seen in Pit�s stage (Palace in the Sky) where structures crumble as players step on them. Other new stages seen in more detail are Yoshi�s Island, a Mario Kart track, and a Fire Emblem stage among others. And what�s this? At the end of the trailer, get a sneak preview of the new StarFox stage. Personally, it looked really plain to me, but perhaps there are interactive elements that will make it a memorable stage.
Conclusion (or the summary of the summary): No big news. Fox is back. A lot of cool stages. Snake has a rocket launcher.
