December 20, 2004 - The year 2004 is ending. Time to bust out those warm sweaters and scarves, and to set fireplaces aglow with chemically-enhanced super logs that last far longer (and burn brighter) than nature intended. And let's not forget the ritualistic emptying of wallets and bank accounts for the gift swapping frenzy known as Christmas. Well, it only gets better. Longtime readers of IGN know we host "Best of" awards to enhance the already divinely-cool Holiday experience. In short, what games did the staff of IGNCube like best? What titles kept them up at night? What game, precisely, caused the breakup and erosion of their romantic relationships?
Now it's your turn. Tell us what you think deserved to win. Disagree with us? Hey, that's cool. Because here at IGN, we care about what our readers have to say - especially when it comes to finding out what you guys thought were the best games of 2004.
Do us a favor and put down that controller for a minute and let us know which title you thought was The Best Strategy Game of 2004!
The nominees are:
Once you've voted, be sure and keep your eyes locked to IGNCube to get the results of the reader poll in January(giving you plenty of time to play those games you haven't had a chance with yet). Who will win and who will lose? The only way to find out is to cast your vote and meet us back here when it's over. See you then!
