December 16, 2004 - Mad Catz Interactive announced today that it has signed a multi-year license agreement with the NFL to product custom controllers emblazoned with NFL team logos. Mad Catz will create a unique controller for each of the 32 NFL football teams, each stylized with the corresponding team's colors and logo.

"With the strength of the NFL property and the extreme popularity of football video games, we are confident this product will score with sports and video game fans alike."


The controllers for PlayStation 2 are scheduled for a January 2005 release through online and team stores. MSRP for each controller is set at $29.99. Xbox owners will be able to nab NFL controllers sometime in the second quarter of 2005.
