December 13, 2004 - Just a few short weeks ago, Nintendo's own Shigeru Miyamoto told the Japanese press that the company was underway with a new Pokemon title for GameCube. Very few details about the game were released, but Miyamoto did promise that it would deliver many of the traditional role-playing elements missing from other Pokemon games.

Today, first screenshots from the title, which is set for a tentative Japanese release in 2005, showed up in overseas magazines.

The publications seem to know about as much as we do about the game -- or in other words, next to nothing. But the screens show a combination of stylized visuals and text-based character interactions. We expect to see a lot more of Pokemon GC in the coming weeks and months, but in the meantime feast your eyes on the first couple of in-game shot, scanned directly from the Japanese magazines.

If you're interested in this game, be sure to add it to your wishlist. You can keep notes, rank games, get updates by email, and more.
