December 07, 2004 - Dolby Laboratories announced today that its Dolby Digital 5.1 Creator multichannel encoding technology has been licensed by Pinnacle Systems, Inc. and will be embedded into its latest digital video editing software solutions.

Dolby Digital 5.1 Creator will now be a standard feature in the Pinnacle's Liquid Edition line of products and as an option for Studio Plus, its advanced consumer video editing application. The inclusion of Dolby Digital 5.1 Creator in Pinnacle's editing software gives professionals and general consumers alike the ability to add surround sound audio tracks into their home-made DVD movies.
