Chase Asnok has updated his huge San Andreas guide with tons of changes and additions! It may seem like there is a lack of news, but the only GTA happenings are sales charts, negative articles against GTA referring to the violence factor, guide updates and more. When there is news, you can trust that it will be here.

IGN has put up an article covering the eight-CD box set for the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas soundtrack. Here is a snippet:
Now astute fans will remember that we stated there were 11 radio stations in GTA: SA, but there are only 8 discs in the box set. So what happened to the other three radio stations? Well, for some odd reason both the Playback FM and Radio Los Santos (the Old School and New School rap stations in the game) have been compiled into a single disc. The game's talk radio station, WCTR has been omitted for obvious reasons. But the most surprising element of the box set is that SF-UR, the underground techno/house station has been left off the box set. Strange, indeed.
Definitely strange. There were probably some issues with copyright on some of the songs or maybe they excluded it for another reason. Either way, it makes a great Christmas present!
Contest Deadline Extended
Due to the lack of submissions for the strategy guide contest, I am making the entry guidelines more broad:
1. The person with the funniest comic strip, best screenshot (from any GTA game after GTA 2), best Photoshoped image or any other still image media wins. It must be 800x600 or larger (preferably larger).
2. It must be funny. Funny will win you the prize.
3. I am sending out two guides instead of just one, so the top two entries win.
4. It can be based on Rockstar, Rockstar employees, Take-Two, Take-Two employees, GTA III, Vice City and/or San Andreas only. If you try to do a joke based on the first or second GTA game, a lot of newcomers might not get it.
5. You must live in the United States for shipping purposes (unless your stuff is really, really funny).
6. Entries must be received by the end of the day of December 10, 2004. This gives you about five full days to work on it.
7. If you want to submit multiple entries, thats fine.
Submit your entries fast! Odds are that you will win if you put just a few minutes of work into it!
Our partner site The GTA Network proudly presents Sam, the San Andreas Java Map created by Azkoyen that enables you to select and view the locations of health icons, two-player locations, gifts, police bribes, unique stunt locations and more. Whether or not the name has any connection to Sam Houser, the executive producer of San Andreas and President of Rockstar Games, is unclear.

IGN Insider has put up the latest issue of Gaming Life UK, and it includes mentions of San Andreas. Here is a snippet:
The weeks since the last issue of Gaming Life UK has seen the release of the three biggest platform-exclusive games of 2004: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Halo 2 and Half-Life 2. While sales figures for the latter have bordered on excellent, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Halo 2 have both done monstrous business in their respective launch windows.
First to hit was Rockstar North's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which shifted a staggering 670,000 copies on its first day of sale on 29 October. This made it both the fastest selling game of all time in the UK - replacing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - and also the sixth best PlayStation 2 game for its entire lifetime.
