Earlier this year, Melbourne-based Cortical Labs unveiled the CL1: the world’s first commercial biological computer. It uses 800,000 lab-grown human neurons reprogrammed from skin or blood samples to process information. These cells don’t just run code, they learn, adapt, and even outperform machine learning systems in certain scenarios.
