Google Launches Dev Channel for Chrome on Android

I have been using Chrome and Chrome OS developer channels for years now. On Android however there was only Beta version of Chrome. That was is changing today. Google has announced the Dev version of Chrome on Android. You can download this from the Google Play Store already.

Here is the official announcement:

Just like the Dev channel on other platforms, it will be updated at least every week, and your feedback will help directly help us avoid regressions and improve features for Beta and Stable users. Life on the Dev channel can be rocky at times, so on Android it installs side-by-side with any other versions of Chrome you have on your device.

Chrome Dev channel on Android is being downloaded on to my phone as I write this. More tinkering and exploring tonight and hopefully I will have some more interesting stuff to share soon.

Now that have Chrome Dev channel on Android, we can expect development on the Android platform speeding up. The whole point of dev and beta channel is to make it easier for everyone to test newer versions and features and make development faster. And that is why I am hoping that we will see more Chrome features on Android in coming weeks.
