Bug Description

While testing the Kubuntu Noble daily live environment my session locked, though I never asked it to nor did I get the change to set any preferences, and refused to unlock.

Supposedly the default password is empty, but entering an empty password refuses to get it to unlock. I am forced to reset the VM.

P.S. I don't know where to assign this yet.

The default settings are to lock the screen after one minute. That's not even long enough to file a bug report.

Well I've tried to reassign this to Kubuntu, Ubuntu, kubuntu-desktop, kde-settings-screenlock and a whole host of packages that this thing claims doesn't exist. So I give up.

I fixed the package. I also fixed the default settings to fix this bug. Can you tell me the date on the ISO you are testing, because the fix only recently went in.

Unfortunately this is back and affecting Ubuntu Studio. We're not sure why, but it's definitely an issue.

It's too late to fix for Oracular and Plucky, but I have a hacky fix for Questing and 24.04.3 on Ubuntu Studio /so long as/ the installer is running. Still can't do much for the live session if the installer isn't running.

I have found a workaround I can implement in ubuntustudio-default-settings, which uses `systemd-inhibit` to block screen locking while the installer is running.
