- Reviewed in Canada on October 29, 2024Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThis book is so informative, well written and contains such helpful information with understanding ADHD in oneself or children.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 6, 2023Format: PaperbackVerified Purchase...it's hard to read if you have ADHD. 😂 So I also got the audiobook and I intend to keep going over it, tiny piece by tiny piece. And don't get me wrong - it is 100% formatted for us super distracted ADHD afflicted humans - it's just- SQUIRREL!
(Just kidding but yeah you need to commit to a schedule of reading it just a tidbit at a time.)
- Reviewed in Canada on January 14, 2025Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseWell known author in the field. Thanks for the valuable book.

- Reviewed in Canada on December 18, 2025Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThe author is perhaps an expert in ADHD, but the writing is certainly not ADHD friendly. Text could be much more concise.

ReyReviewed in Japan on October 13, 20223.0 out of 5 stars It's ok
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThis book spends a lot of time explaining ADHD and less time on giving you actual strategies to deal with it. I feel like it was a waste of money if you already have a decent amount of knowledge about ADHD.
Matthew KingReviewed in Australia on December 7, 20245.0 out of 5 stars A must have for anyone with, or knows anyone with, ADHD.
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseAs a healthcare professional I can completely vouch for this resource. Dr Barkley is one of the best researchers in this space and his content is easily digestible, relevant and medically up to date. There is a lot of mis information about ADHD, especially in relation to the nurture debate, and so I would recommend this to anyone as a starting point.
DimitriReviewed in Italy on December 8, 20215.0 out of 5 stars Highy quality read!
Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseThank you Dr. Barkley for producing such a quality book and helping raise awareness of ADHD worldwide. For everyone who is interested to know what ADHD is for real, discerning facts from fiction, this book is for you. I really appreciated the actionable strategies provided. I will try them for sure.
JonesReviewed in the United Kingdom on March 13, 20235.0 out of 5 stars A positive must read for anyone who thinks they might have ADHD.
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseConfirmed my thoughts that I have ADHD. Rather than being scared and ashamed now, this book has taught me about all the positives of having ADHD (there are many).
So many helpful tips / signposting or where to seek help for the challenging traits.
Valuable education about the types of medication and what they could potentially do.
Easy to read (although I did go into hyperfocus mode when reading this which helped!).
ADHD may not be as scary as you think :)
(Another helpful place to turn to is YouTube. A channel called, How To ADHD. Short and engaging videos, perfect for people with Attention Deficit, made by soneone with ADHD.)
