Center for World Languages Celebrates 30 Years

In the 30 years since its founding, the Five College Center for World Languages has taught 60 less-commonly taught languages to more than 5,000 students from all five campuses. Utilizing a proven supervised independent study model and native-speaking conversation partners, the Language Center helps students direct their own learning and develop cultural competence, preparing them for study, research, and employment around the world—all while earning course credit.
