The Thirsty Ear Pub
Open to MIT affiliates, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as their friends and family.
A thirst for knowledge
MIT runs on curiosity. People come here hungry — for equations that click, for machines that move, for answers that haven’t been written yet. That hunger doesn’t clock out at 5 pm. It follows you into the evening, into conversations that start with “so what are you working on?” and end three hours later with a napkin covered in sketches.
The Thirsty Ear was built for that leftover thirst. Not to replace the library or the lab, but to give it somewhere softer to land. A place where you can put down the proof for a night and still feel like you’re learning.
