[change | change source]
  • Walter White - A depressed high school chemistry teacher who is deeply unhappy with his life. After getting diagnosed with lung cancer, he makes very high quality crystal meth in order to make money for his family alongside his former student Jesse Pinkman, taking on the nickname "Heisenberg". It soon becomes clear that Walter built his empire not to provide for his family, but to finally satisfy his long-dormant ego and to feel alive.
  • Skyler White - Walter's stressed, neglected housewife. She dissapproves of Walter's drug dealing, but helps manage the money he makes from it in order to protect her family. She later realises that in order to do so, she must distance them from Walter.
  • Jesse Pinkman - A laidback, amateur drug dealer and former student of Walter's. He always had great potential, once showing a talent for carpentry, but he was constantly put down by his parents and was tortured by his drug addiction. He teams up with Walter to create their very high quality crystal meth, but his life slowly becomes worse because of it.
  • Hank Schrader - Walter's confident and prideful brother-in-law who works for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Hank dedicates himself to arresting the mysterious Heisenberg, unaware it is his own brother-in-law, Walter.
  • Marie Schrader - Skyler's highly-strung sister, and wife of Hank. She has kleptomania, meaning she constantly feels the urge to steal things no matter ehat they are, such as spoons, and gifts.
  • Walter White Jr. - Walter and Skyler's rebellious son. He has cerebral palsy, and eventually takes on a name of his own, Flynn.
  • Gustavo "Gus" Fring - A highly dangerous drug lord who hides his crimes behind his fried chicken restaraunt franchise, Los Pollos Hermanos. Gus has a strong hatred for the Salamanca crime family and Hector "Tio" Salamanca in particular, who is responsible for killing his lover, Max.
  • Saul Goodman - A cocky and quick-thinking lawyer who later works with Walter and Jesse in managing their drug empire. Despite being highly corrupt, Saul is a very talented lawyer, being able to manipulate a courtroom and nitpick the law at ease. His real name is Jimmy McGill.
  • Mike Ehrmantraut - A grizzled former police officer who works as a security consultant for Gus and on occasion, Saul. Mike is very intelligent, being able to trick people when he needs to, and cover up crime scenes when hired to do so. He believes in not taking half-measures, but his own strict set of morals sometimes cause him to lose sight of his belief.
  • Lydia Rodarte-Quayle - A tense corporate executive for a company named Madrigal Electromotive. She is highly prone to stress, but also helps Mike and Walter with distributing drugs overseas to Europe.
  • Todd Alquist - A psychopathic employee at Vamonos Pest, a company that helps with exterminating pests from homes. He is the nephew of Jack Welker, the leader of a neo-nazi gang.
