Astur Lacépède, 1799 è un genere di uccelli rapaci della famiglia Accipitridae, che comprende astori e sparvieri. Le specie inserite all'interno di questo genere facevano parte del genere Accipiter.

Il genere Astur venne introdotto nel 1799 dal naturalista francese Bernard Germain de Lacépède.[1] La specie tipo fu in seguito designata dallo zoologo irlandese Nicholas Vigors come Falco palumbarius (Linnaeus, 1758), ora considerato un sinonimo junior di Falco gentilis (Linnaeus, 1758), l'astore eurasiatico.[2][3] Il nome deriva dal latino astur, asturis che significa "falco".[4]

Le specie ora inserite in questo genere erano precedentemente assegnate al genere Accipiter, ma studi filogenetici molecolari hanno scoperto che il genere Accipiter è polifiletico.[5][6] Nel riarrangiamento per creare generi monofiletici, queste due specie sono state spostate nel genere Astur, resuscitato nel 2024 per contenere nove specie che erano state precedentemente inserite in Accipiter.[7]
