Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard
|
|
For sensitive matters, you may contact an individual bureaucrat directly by e-mail.
The Bureaucrats' noticeboard is a place where items related to the Bureaucrats can be discussed and coordinated. Any user is welcome to leave a message or join the discussion here. Please start a new section for each topic.
This is not a forum for grievances. It is a specific noticeboard addressing Bureaucrat-related issues. If you want to know more about an action by a particular bureaucrat, you should first raise the matter with them on their talk page. Please stay on topic, remain civil, and remember to assume good faith. Take extraneous comments or threads to relevant talk pages.
If you are here to report that an RFA or an RFB is "overdue" or "expired", please wait at least 12 hours from the scheduled end time before making a post here about it. There are a fair number of active bureaucrats; and an eye is being kept on the time remaining on these discussions. Thank you for your patience.
To request that your administrator status be removed, initiate a new section below.

- In heavier news,
- UtherSRG (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA)
- has not passed their EfA, which I believe means they have been recalled by the community. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 19:39, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- On a side note, I'd like to urge the community not to use EFA as jargon to refer to administrator elections. There are plenty of other jargon terms already for admin elections. I appreciate it's one of the uppercase shortcuts listed on the administrator elections page, but jargon loses whatever its efficacy it has when there are too many synonyms. I would appreciate it! isaacl (talk) 19:57, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- I'd like to urge the community to use it, if only so the next one can be WP:E4A (courtesy ping of @Theleekycauldron for the idea). Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 20:52, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- I will agree with isaacl on this one, I was hella confused even after reading the message; it wasn't until I saw Urther's name that it clicked. I much prefer AELECT. Primefac (talk) 22:34, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- I'm with Primefac and isaacl, EFA is far less intuitive than AELECT and it wasn't until I hovered over the link to the page with "administrator elections" in the title that I understood the context. I would also strongly object to E4A, which should be restricted to either an acronym EEEEA or to a 6-letter word starting with E and ending in A (c.f. I18n, A16z, AO3, etc). Thryduulf (talk) 01:57, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
- What about WP:A11Y? Sugar Tax (talk) 11:18, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- I think the Wikipedia community collectively hyperfixates on making everything a (blank) for (blank). Why do y'all like lowercase f's so much? mwwv converse∫edits 17:56, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

Anonymisation of the account Bianka
Hello,
I used to contribute with the account Bianka, but I wish to not use it anymore due to personal reasons and the loss to the access of it. Could it be possible to anonymise it as well as delete all contributions linked to it, please?
Thanks, GlitchedGlitter (talk) 11:08, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- If you don't have access to the account, then it is impossible to link you to that account administratively. You could be anyone making the request, from an outsider's perspective. Actually, by posting here, you've linked yourself to that account in a way that didn't exist before. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 11:15, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- GlitchedGlitter. Looks like you succeeded in logging into Bianka, since it says that user edited 25 minutes ago. However that account only has 16 edits, so I wonder if there is even much to hide. But anyway, now that you're logged in, you can follow the procedure at WP:VANISH if you'd like. And you can also tag your userpage (where the majority of your edits are) for deletion by adding the template {{Db-u1}} to it. Hope this helps. –Novem Linguae (talk) 11:41, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- WP:VANISHing is not typically granted when users are, or are intending to, editing with another account. The best way to remain anonymous with a new account is to simply pretend the old one never existed and not go to a noticeboard and mention it. CoconutOctopus talk 11:44, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- This is not an issue for bureaucrats. However, if you wish to deactivate an account, use the form here: Special:GlobalVanishRequest. See the guidance linked above first. — xaosflux Talk 13:45, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

Desysop/Resysop request (Whouk)
Hello. On the basis that I haven't been sufficiently active for a while, please could I voluntarily ask for my Administrator rights to be removed? Whouk (t · th · c · del · cross-wiki · SUL · edit counter · pages created (xtools · sigma) · non-automated edits · BLP edits · undos · manual reverts · rollbacks · logs (blocks · rights · moves) · rfar · spi · cci) Thanks, Whouk (talk) 16:00, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
Done
- Done, and thanks for all the admin stuff you did. Would you like to keep rollback or any other specific rights? ϢereSpielChequers 16:16, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
