The factual accuracy of this map or the file name is disputed.
Reason: All the films that are shown in Russian cinemas are dubbed, both in theaters and on TV. Voice-over is used mostly for series, soap-operas, old and less-expensive films that are shown only on TV. Spain generally dubs media except for documentaries and realities, which get voice-overs. Switzerland generally don't produce their own dubs but rather import theirs from Germany, France, and Italy depending on the language. The same can be said for Luxembourg as well as San Marino, Monaco, and Andorra. (and the Vatican City?) Most dubs in Bosnia are either imported from Croatia or Serbia. A small amount of dubs are locally produced, however. Montenegro does not produce dubs at all and relies on imported content from Serbia. According to Slovak law, every new film or series has to be dubbed into Slovak since 2008. The only exception are films originally shot in Czech, dedicated to viewers aged over 12 years. In Poland, voice-over is mostly used for films and series that are aired on TV and aimed at viewers over 12, while those shown in theaters and streaming platforms are subtitled. Many PG and R-rated motion pictures are dubbed, however. Children's films and series are almost always dubbed. |
