Damascus, March 10 (SANA) The Operations Authority of the Syrian Arab Army confirmed that artillery shells landed on Syrian territory near the twon of Serghaya, west of Damascus, fired from Lebanese territory.
The army told SANA that Lebanese Hezbollah militia were responsible for launching the shells at Syrian army positions near Serghaya.
The Operations Authority added that reinforcements for Hezbollah militia have been observed arriving at the Syrian-Lebanese border. The army is closely monitoring the situation and assessing the next steps.
It noted that it is in contact with the Lebanese army and evaluating appropriate measures to respond as necessary.
The Operations Authority emphasized that the Syrian Arab Army will respond firmly to any attack on Syrian territory and is prepared to act decisively if needed..
